Traditional method of preparing Matcha

One cup of ceremonial matcha is nutritionally equivalent to about ten cups of regular green tea.

Here's a quick guide to the perfect cup:

  1. Sift: Pour 1–2 g (about ½ tsp) of matcha powder through a sieve into a bowl.
  2. Pour in: Pour in 70–100 ml of hot ( 70–80 °C ), but never boiling, water.
  3. Whisk: Using a bamboo whisk, whisk with quick wrist movements (drawing the letter “M”) for about 15-20 seconds.
  4. Enjoy: When a stiff, bright foam forms on the surface – drink immediately.

For Matcha Latte : pour prepared matcha (in a smaller amount of water) over warmed and whipped plant-based milk.
